Kirstie Hook, Chris Worrall and Vicki Powell from Elite Properties says they have 0% rental vacancy rate which is a sign the market is starting to improve.TOWNSVILLE’S rental market is steadily improving with one real estate agency recording a zero per cent vacancy rate.Elite Properties property manager Chris Worrall said as of last Friday, they had no properties vacant after finding tenants for the 200 homes on their books. Mr Worrall said he hoped the lack of vacant rentals was a sign of Townsville’s rental market improving.“I would suggest it’s a sign of the market,” he said. “There is some new people that have moved to town and it’s also generally owners becoming more realistic with rental properties.“The main properties we handle are family-type homes and as long as they are reasonably priced they are renting quickly.“Given what’s on the horizon with the infrastructure planned for Townsville I think the rental market will continue to improve but this is just a sign. We’re still a way off but we’re getting activity, which is a good sign.”Mr Worrall said they received a new listing on Monday which received an application within 24 hours.
