In difficult conditions for football, Donegal got the job done in a comfortable fashion compared to the last-gasp goal they needed from Ryan McHugh to beat Cavan at the quarter-final stage.Played in heavy underfoot conditions, goals from Jack O’Brien and Lorcan Connor saw Donegal go in 2-5 to 0-2 at the break with two late goals in the opening period.Monaghan grabbed a quick second-half goal thanks to Kevin Loughran.But Donegal took control again when Ciaran Thompson netted their third goal.
