Motorola One Power passes through TENAA, may launch soon

first_imgThe Motorola One Power is getting closer to being official after being spotted on Chinese certification website, TENAA this week. We have been hearing about the Motorola One Power for a few months now and in June some live images of the phone leaked out giving us a look at what it could look like. Now that the Android One smartphone has been listed on TENAA along with some renders, we can expect it to launch soon enough. The TENAA listing its model number being XT1942-1 and the network bands it will be supporting. It also lists its measurements at 155.8x 75.9 x 9.98mm and its weight at 170 grams. Additional details about the Motorola One Power includes a 6.2-inch FHD+ display, a 4,850mAh battery and colour options which includes black, white, gold and silver. The listing also reveals RAM variants starting from 3GB going up to 6GB. As for the storage, the device will be offered with 32GB or 64GB of inbuilt storage depending on the RAM.Soon after the Motorola One Power was listed, the website also uploaded some renders giving us another look at its design. Notably, the back of the device looks identical to the live image that was leaked last month. The phone seems to have a metal and plastic rear panel and you can see a vertical dual camera setup on the top left corner and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor embedded in the Moto logo. The render does not clearly reveal the display, but past leaked images suggest the phone will sport a display notch. In fact, the notch is expected to be as wide as the iPhone X. The TENAA listing mentions that the Motorola One Power will brings a 12MP + 5MP dual camera setup on the back while the selfie camera will get an 8-megapixel sensor.advertisementThe biggest rumoured highlight of the Motorola One Power is that it will be an Android One device running stock Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. This means that the phone will receive monthly Android security patches and Android P and Q in the future. This will come as a delight for Moto fans who have been disappointed with the company’s slow update releases. There are also rumours about a Motorola One which is expected to be cheaper than the One Power, but there’s nothing new regarding the second model as of now. We should hear more about both the phones in the days leading up to their launch. Motorola is holding an event on August 2 in Chicago where the company is expected to announce the Moto Z3. There is a possibility that the Motorola One and One Power will be announced at the same event as well.last_img read more
