Tribeca officials to arrive in Cyprus Tuesday

first_imgRepresentatives of world-renowned American film company Tribeca will be on the island from Tuesday to look at the possibility of staging a major film festival here.During the visit, the Tribeca representatives will have meetings with executives from Limassol-based company Screentale, which recently signed a contract with the Americans.They will also have meetings with senior government officials, the US embassy and mayors and tour the island to check out possible locations for the festival.“We will soon be hosting a big film festival, which we believe will put Cyprus on the international map of the cinema,” Screentale director Marija Savina said.“Our goal is for the beautiful island of Aphrodite to become one of the top destinations for both art and technology.
