first_imgHong Kong — Reported by Elite Traveler, the Private Jet Lifestyle MagazineAsia Jet placed an order to Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. for three aircraft, a Gulfstream G150, G200 and G250. The aircraft will be in charter service from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, Mainland China following delivery in 2011 and 2012.Asia Jet, a Hong Kong-based private charter company, has one of the largest charter fleets in the region, and branch offices in Shanghai and Tokyo. Asia Jet today announced it has signed an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding with China Eastern Airlines to manage these aircraft in Mainland China. As part of this agreement, Asia Jet has been duly appointed the exclusive sales and marketing agent for all Part 135 aircraft under China Eastern Airlines’ newly formed Aircraft Operating Certificate for the region.“We have had great experience with Gulfstream products and know the market will be very pleased with these proven performers and our exceptional level of personalized service in the Mainland,” said Mike Walsh, CEO of Asia Jet. “We are pleased to be partnering with China Eastern Airlines as part of the Group’s future growth strategy and look forward to working closely together.” He further added.“We applaud Asia Jet and its forward-looking management for expanding its China operations.
